On 17th March 2011, Webb Black Simmentals held their Annual Bull Sale which exceeded expectations.

"A BLACK Simmental bull created an Australian record price at auction of $15,500 at the recent Webb Black Simmental inaugural sale held in Victoria. In total, the sale resulted with 33 Black Simmental bulls selling to average $4844 while four SimAngus bulls sold to a top price of $6500 to average $5500 with bulls selling in Victoria, Queensland, NSW and South Australia.

For stud principal, Phillip Webb, the overall result was very pleasing. Mr Webb said the sale result reflected a vote of confidence in the stud’s breeding program.

“Black Simmentals in Australia are virtually unknown, and it was great to see so many cattle producers attend our sale ‘for a look’, and go home with a bull,” Mr Webb said." READ MORE in our current 'webb news' publication to the right.
